HOUSTON – A 33-year-old Houston man has been arrested after police say he threw a beer can at Senator Ted Cruz during the World Series parade in downtown.
Officers said Senator Cruz was on a float in the 2400 block of Smith Street when the parade-goer threw the beer can, which struck the senator in his chest/neck area.
Although Cruz did not receive any medical attention, police said the suspect was arrested and will face assault charges.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
